GENERAL GUIDELINES
All the
consulates are no longer issuing visa on additional pages and to child
endorsed in the passport. So in case of additional pages an additional
booklet is required and for the child a separate passport is must
for stamping of visa.
1. PASSPORT
| It should be vaild for a minimum period of
six months from the data of application. |
2. FORM
| One should always use neat and
clean copy of form (original only wherever needed) neatly typed
or clearly handwritten with all the details filled up and signed
be the applicant. This helps a lot in processing visa quickly
due to unavailability of even a small detail sometime these
are chances of getting the visa delayed. |
3. PHOTOGRAPHS
| Always use recent photographs (Not older
than six months) |
4. TICKETS
| All the sectors in the tickets has to be
confirmed. |
5. FOREIGN
EXCHANGE
It
has to be endorsed in the passport. It can be avoided if the
applicant is holding.
a. Vaild International credit card.
b. An invitation in which it is mentioned that applicants
all expenses will be borne by the sponsor or inviting
company. (Inspite of having invitations
or sponsorship as above forex endorsement is a must in
many cases)
c. Minimum USD 100 per day is required for European countries.

6. OVERSEAS MEDICAL POLICY
| It
should be valid for a minimum period of 14 days osr should cover
the period of travel if it is more than 14 days. |
7. COVERING
LETTER
Covering letter differs from case while drafting
a letter following points should be kept in mind.
a. It has to be on a letterhead (not a plain
paper. Plain paper is accepted only if from is retired)
b. It should contain brief introduction of applicants
(must contain names, designations of all persons travelling)
c. Purpose of travelling should be mentioned clearly (i.e.,
tourism, business, religious or as applicable)
d. Duration of visit also should be mentioned clearly.
e. If purpose of visit is business a letter should explain
in brief company business i.e., in product company deals,
its turnover etc.
f. Name and designation of the person signing the
letter is a must.
g. In all business covering letters (Medical clause is
a must i.e., medical expense occurs in the country
of travel, will be borne be the company)
h. All the business letters should be signed be higher
authorities of the applicant. |

8. EVIDENCE OF STATUS (FINANCIAL PAPERS)
These are the very important document needed in
support of visa applicant as follows.
a. Income tax papers for last 3 years.
b. TDS from 16A Certificate.
c. Papers proving ownership of real estate.
d. Fixed deposit receipts, share certificates etc.
e. All the above in original. |

9. EMPLOYMENT PROOF
These are the very important document needed in
support of visa applicant as follows.

10. MAIN DESTINATION VISA
| Onward visa or visa for the country of main destination
should be obtained first. |
11. FOR
MINORS TRAVELLING ALONE OR WITH OTHER RELATIVES
| On
objection letter from both the parents on Rs.100/- stamps paper.
Notary is needed. |
12. LETTER
OF INVITATION
a.
This is one of the most important supporting document for the
application of business visa. Following points should be observed while
asking party for invitation.
b. It should be on the inviting company's letterhead.
c. Name of the applicant, applicants passport, duration and
purpose of visit should ne clearly mentioned in the invitation.
d. Name and designation of the person signing the invitation
has to be these along with company's stamps.
e. It should be addressed to the consulate and the copy of the
same should reach to the consulate directly from inviting company by
fax. |
